The RWTUEV testing organization in Essen, Germany, has published
the English-language version of test reports for R&P's Partisol-Plus
Model 2025 Sequential Air Sampler and Partisol-FRM
Model 2000 Air Sampler. The samplers were tested in a configuration
for collecting particles generally smaller than 10 microns in diameter
(PM-10).
The test reports show compliance of these samplers with the European
Community's new ambient air regulation for PM-10 in ambient air.
The applicable norm is EN12341. The reports may be downloaded using
the links below (Adobe Acrobat PDF format):
The Partisol-Plus Model 2025 Sequential Air Sampler forms the backbone
of the USEPA PM-2.5 air sampling network, and has demonstrated consistent
filter exchange operation under a very wide range of environmental
conditions. The sampler has a 16-filter capacity, and can exchange
filters based upon user-defined timing routines or remotely from
a central location. The unit has both the USEPA reference designation
for PM-2.5 and PM-10 (RFPS-0498-118 and RFPS-1298-127, respectively).
The Partisol-FRM Model 2000 Air Sampler is a single-channel device
that incorporates the same data handling and ActiVol flow control
features as the other members of the Partisol Family of Air Samplers.
The device has both the USEPA reference designation for PM-2.5 and
PM-10 (RFPS-0498-117 and RFPS-1298-126, respectively).
