Planning and Air Monitoring Solutions
Team
to Conduct Comprehensive Testing for
Airborne Chemical, Biological and Radiological Threats
Five market-leading, environmental services companies are working
in partnership to meet heightened security monitoring needs for
airborne chemical, biological, and radiological agents (CBR) in
the United States. The broad offering includes a field deployable
package that monitors for potentially threatening agents and provides
expert professional services for consequence planning and management.
The program supports all phases of planning, preparedness and response
to potential threats with a unique combination of CBR analysis,
engineering, deployment, operations and monitoring capabilities.
The group consists of ARCADIS of Denver, Colorado, ManTech Environmental
Technology, Inc. of Durham, North Carolina, Rupprecht & Patashnick
Co., Inc. (R&P) of Albany, New York, Severn Trent Laboratories
Inc. (STL) of Ft. Washington, Pennsylvania and Unisearch Associates
Inc. of Toronto, Canada. With combined annual revenues of over $1.5
billion, the group has more than 120 years of experience in environmental
services. Each company has recently participated in homeland security
activities in mitigation of terrorist threats, including participation
in agent monitoring activities at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics,
September 11th WTC site, U.S. Postal Service facilities, and strategic
government locations.
"Through the combined strengths of the team, we are able to
provide the best available technology to monitor for and respond
to potentially threatening airborne agents," said Harvey Patashnick,
President and co-founder of Rupprecht & Patashnick Co., Inc.,
speaking on behalf of the five partners. "This provides the
world with state-of-the-art technology related to air monitoring.
Each member of the team has the expertise and dedication to meet
today's critical monitoring needs."
The group has the capability to test for CBR agents in most indoor
and outdoor locations using advanced technology provided by each
team member. Sampling and airborne contaminant measurement instrumentation
is manufactured by R&P and Unisearch, backed up by industry
standard polymerase chain reaction biological agent measurement
from STL, ARCADIS and ManTech provide engineering and systems integration
capability to deploy and operate local monitoring networks nationwide.
