The TEOM Series 1500 PMA
Reaction Kinetics Analyzer can now achieve a temperature of
900 degrees C. The instrument is used by researchers from petroleum
and chemical companies, fuel cell research facilities and nano-
and material-technology development centers to investigate the characteristics
novel materials.

The standard configuration of the Reaction Kinetics Analyzer allows
for material testing to take place at temperatures up to 600 degrees
C and pressures up to 10 Atmospheres. The new high-temperature option
allows the sample carrier that contains the test material to be
heated to 900 degrees C at a pressure as high as 10 Atmospheres.
The instrument allows users to measure the mass changes that occur
in a bed of test material as different gases pass through the test
chamber at varying temperatures and pressures.
The new high-temperature configuration of the TEOM Series 1500 monitor
extends the application range of the device to include higher temperature
automotive catalyst and fuel cell material research.
